What do these periods mean?
- Contact period
- Coaches can call, text, email, visit off campus, and (when noted) evaluate prospects at competitions.
- Quiet period
- In-person contact is limited to the college campus. Calls, emails, and texts are still allowed.
- Dead period
- No in-person recruiting contact anywhere. Coaches may still email, call, and text.
- Recruiting shutdown (Women's D1)
- NCAA-mandated pause during the postseason tournament window.
